“Starbucks is a place to be seen, at least that’s how I see it. People got there not for the coffee but for the sake of saying that they were at a place where everyone is.” she chuckles and nods thoughtfully. “Thanks. If you were coffee, I’d say you’d be a Cafe Americano. No pretenses, no frills, just straight up good and real coffee."
She took the phone from him and punched in her information, handing it back to him after. “I’d be happy to be your coffee buddy. Can you give me ring so I can save your number on my phone too?” she took her phone out of her purse and waited for the familiar ring. “I’d really like that, I enjoy music a lot.” She smiled sincerely at him, secretly amazed at how easy it was to make a connection with her new found friend. ‘Coffee is really something magical.’ she thought fondly.
"Definitely. I like my coffee like I like my people: genuine. I just need a decent atmosphere mostly. To be honest. I have a brazilian coffee maker at home, but theres just something about the air here. The simple latte art, the smell and feel of this place. It really feels like a second home. I love coming here” he stops and takes a slow sip of his coffee before continuing “Maybe it’s because I’m young or naive, but I think true happiness can come for simple things like this. From a good cup of coffee”
He watched her slender fingers glide across the surface of his screen. “Sure I’ll send you a quick text right now” he took his phone back and typed a simple ‘coffee magic’ and pressed send. “Well, I actually play some shows here sometimes. I’ll text you next time I have one so you can come watch!” he smiled and got up from the table slowly. “Well it’s about time for me to go. Where are you headed? Maybe I can walk you there if it’s on my way”
