“Oh, no, you were great,” Roy answered with a huge smile. “I enjoyed it a lot! I really think we should play together sometime.” He was always eager to meet new people he could play music with. He then started to punch the order into the cash register. “And of course, one mocha frappuccino.”
Once he was done, he picked up an empty plastic cup and wrote Chanyeol’s name on it. “If you guys are going to need energy, then how about an extra espresso shot? Or how something to eat?” He leaned over the counter to glance at the chiller filled with various pastries and cakes too see what was available. “Our carrot cake is really, really good.”
“And I’m Roy Kim, by the way. I think Mina showed me a photo of you at one point, so I do know what you look like.” He gave out a small laugh then his face broke into a wide grin. “It’s a pleasure to finally meet you."
"Really? I’m glad you thought so. I was actually super nervous before I played. Butterflies and what not.” he chuckled and nodded. “We should definitely get together and play sometime. What hours do you work? I have classes on the weekdays, but some afternoons and mornings I have off. And the weekends are always free for me. Unless I plan something with Mina that is"
Chanyeol eyed the plastic cup with his name on it. He was thirsty and dead tired. "I think you should make that two extra espresso shots, and I don’t really like sweets too much. More of a veggie and fruit kind of guy. You wouldn’t happen to have any bagels or parfaits here?” he looked through the shelves and sighed. He usually had to be in a special mood for anything sugary.
“Ah yeah I know. Mina talks about you enough” he glanced over at Mina as she conversed with their classmates. “It’s nice to meet you as well Roy. It’s about time we see each other face to face, and you know what. I will take a piece of that carrot cake. I need the sugar!"
